One of the most unforgettable moments I have had in Montgomery thus far was the opportunity to tour the Capitol dome and roof. It was deeply meaningful to be in such a historic place and leave our mark where so many before us had once stood. Along the way, we picked up some fun and quirky facts—like the story of a State construction crew member who built a birdhouse just to keep a bothersome bird occupied and away from staff.
