Fitzgerald Museum Hosts Ribbon Cutting & Gatsby Centennial Celebration in Montgomery

Published on 5 March 2025 at 16:29

The Fitzgerald Museum invites you to a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday 12 April at 5:45PM to celebrate the launch of a Montgomery-themed teaching edition of The Great Gatsby, now available on Amazon. The ceremony will kick off The Great Gatsby Centennial Day, a partnership with the Alabama Department of Tourism.

Can you believe it has been 100 years since F. Scott Fitzgerald published The Great Gatsby? Did you know that he and his wife Zelda lived in Montgomery (where she was from)?

Attend the ceremony for FREE and learn more. Then join us in your Roaring 20s attire for the annual Gatsby Party fundraiser at the museum from 6PM-9PM. Purchase tickets to the party/dinner here: https://www.eventbrite.com/.../the-great-gatsby...

Special thanks to Director Lee Sentell and the Alabama Department of Tourism for promoting one of the most read books in the world - now with an Alabama edition. #Our67 The Fitzgerald Museum #gatsby #gatsbyparty #TheGreatGatsby #roaring20s #roaringtwenties
